What:

The Art of Ribs BBQ Festival 2010 to include professional 6 BBQ vendors, up to 20 miscellaneous food vendors, live music bands and entertainment, a 60×60 Beer tent and more!
Who:

Sponsored by the Lewiston/Niagara-On-The-Lake Rotary Club and held in conjunction with the 44th Annual Lewiston Art Festival which is sponsored by the Lewiston Council on the Arts

Saturday, August 14, 2010 10AM – 10PM

Sunday, August 15, 2010 10AM – 8PM

Academy Park, Center Street, Lewiston, NY
Why:

WE NEED 300 VOLUNTEERS to work on 4 hour shift over the course of the festival.The staffing functions include assisting Rotary Team Captains in the following areas:

Staffing Tent
Rib Judging Data Entry
BBQ – Ribbers/Food Vendor Coordination
Beer Tent
Eating Tent
Park Cleanup
Rotary International Tent (Staffed by Rotarians only)
Music/Entertainment Coordination
How:

Complete the Volunteer Application below and click on the SUBMIT tab.  The information will automatically transmit to the STAFFING TEAM CAPTAIN, Barbara Ganim.  If you have any questions regarding volunteer services, feel free to email Barbara directly at barbarag@artofribs.com
Guidelines:

All prospective Volunteers that have submitted the Volunteer Application below will be contacted by STAFFING TEAM CAPTAIN, Barbara Ganim with their appointed 4 hour work schedule and assignment. All volunteer applications will be on file at the STAFFING TENT.

Upon reporting to the Staffing Tent a minimum of 30 minutes prior to assigned shift, the form will be pulled and volunteer will be required to sign the Volunteer Agreement and Release form (see bottom of form).

Volunteers will be given a free t-shirt to wear during their volunteer service. A private changing area will be provided to change into the Art of Ribs t-shirt. Instructions will be given to report to your Team Captain within the park at a specific location.

Once the Volunteer is greeted by their Team Captain, instructions will be provided for the four (4) hour work period.

At the end of the four (4) hour shift, Volunteer will return to the STAFFING TENT, complete a quick Volunteer Survey and sign out.

Thank you for committing to this kind act of SERVICE in the true Rotary way! It is much appreciated by of us in Rotary and the Lewiston community. 300 Volunteers are needed to make this festival happen, so we are very grateful that you have chosen to join us in making this a successful event.

The above customized logo will appear on the Art of Ribs 2010 t-shirts which will be worn by all the 300 volunteers. T-shirts will also be on sale for the public at the festival.
